For Pole and Aerial, we recommend starting with an Intro Class (Level 1) to cover the basic foundations before attending a Beginner class (Level 2).
We have ongoing progressive 4 Week Series for pole and fabrics each month. Series are a structured program meant to help you grasp the essential foundations in a slow paced environment before going into a beginner level class. Try a dance, flexibility, open studio, or conditioning class to round out and compliment your pole/aerial journey.
For pole and aerial, any of our Intro, Intro series, or Beginner classes (L 1 or L 2) are suitable for beginners. If you have never taken a pole or aerial class, we recommend taking an intro class before a beginner class. All of our non aerial classes (flexibility, mobility, all dance classes, and yoga) are suitable for beginners as well. We encourage you to supplement pole & aerial with flexibility, mobility, and stretching type classes to help you lengthen and strengthen muscle groups you will be using while posing in the air!
For Intro to Pole and Beginner Pole: wear leggings, socks, knee pads are recommended for floorwork, and a sports bra and comfortable top. No jewelry or lotions/lubricants on your skin on the day of your class. Bring a water bottle!
For Aerial Silks/Hammock: leggings, socks, sports bra, and a comfortable top with short or long sleeves is recommended to help prevent silk burn in the underarm area. Rings, necklaces, or jewelry of any kind are not allowed as there is a possibility of getting caught on the fabric, which is dangerous for you and damaging to the silks.
For Aerial Hoop: wear leggings, a sports bra, a comfortable top, and socks. Sometimes we invert and hang upside down, if you are not comfortable with a bare midriff, wear a tighter fitting top or leotard/bodysuit. Gloves are not recommended as they inhibit the build up of much needed calluses and grip strength. No jewelry, bring your water bottle.
For Flexibility, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Mobility & Stretch, Essentrics: the studio provides yoga mats and blankets, and additional equipment needed, but you may bring your own mat if you prefer. Bring a water bottle. Barre socks are optional.
For Chair Dance: a cute workout outfit you feel confident in, dance heels, such as ballroom or heels with a supportive ankle and no platform, and dance knee pads are recommended just in case there is floorwork.
If you take an intro series, you will graduate when you complete the series. If you take an intro class, you can talk to your instructor after class to see if you should book a beginner class or another intro class. Typically 2-4 intro classes will allow you to build a solid foundation to help you safely execute beginner techniques more efficiently.
Many people are the first time they come in, it’s completely natural to feel that way, you are branching out, trying something new, and doing it with people you dont know! Our positive and supportive community is here to make you feel welcomed and motivate you! You will start to feel more comfortable once you start your first class and will leave feeling exhilarated and happy you came!
Not questions, but statements we hear pretty frequently. YES YOU CAN! Everyone starts somewhere and eventually grows into a strong and graceful person, in class and in life! You will not do crazy tricks on your first day, you will start with the basics and go from there. The strength and flexibility will build as you go. We do conditioning after warm up in each class to start prepping us for those harder tricks. Shifting your mindset and being wiling to try new things, push past fears, and put in the work is all ANYONE needs to be able to do this and any other skill. You got this, we will help you, spot you, encourage you, and lift you up when you need it!
We encourage you to contact us by phone to let us know if you can't make it to your class or appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule and will be charged a late cancel fee. If you no show the following policy will apply:
